When will the PS Plus Essential July 2026 monthly free games go live?
PS Plus Essential games usually drop on the first Tuesday of each month. This year, July’s first Tuesday falls on the 7th, which is when the monthly freebies are expected to go live. It’s an extra week of waiting, but we’ll live.
As for the announcement, Sony typically reveals the games on the last Wednesday of each month. That means there’s a possibility that this Wednesday, June 24, is when the games are revealed. However, given the gap between the announcement and release, it’s also possible that Sony will push the announcement out to Wednesday, July 1.
That said, PS Plus games tend to leak quite frequently, thanks to an insider who allegedly has access to backend info. So, we might end up getting the list sooner than Sony plans to reveal it.
