In case you missed it, PS5 and PS4 ports of a beloved 2004 PS2 action adventure game are being rolled out on the PS Store today. Developed by Mortal Kombat studio Midway, Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy earned positive reviews at launch but suffered from weak sales. Its planned sequel was consequently dropped, so today’s ports are the closest we’ll get to a new release.

Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy is available both in the PS Plus Premium catalog and on the PS Store as a stand-alone product. Since the PS Store updates around noon local time, its release is being staggered by region.
“Wield psychic powers as elite agent Nick Scryer and unravel a shadowy conspiracy within the Mindgate Project, battling rogue operatives and unleashing telekinesis, mind control, and pyrokinesis across mind-bending levels,” an official overview reads. “Face off against formidable foes like the enigmatic General Grienko and the deadly Six, each with their own unique psychic abilities and motivations.”
Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy comes with 20 trophies, including the coveted Platinum. Interestingly, there are no Bronze trophies. You’ll get 11 Silver trophies and 8 Gold trophies.
