Originally released in 2025, the game is a remake of the iconic 2004 Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The fifth game in the mainline Metal Gear franchise, Snake Eater is set in 1964. It follows a FOX operative named Naked Snake, who is tasked with rescuing a Soviet rocket scientist and sabotaging a nuclear superweapon in the process.
Snake Eater is often heralded as one of the greatest in the Metal Gear series, and one of the best games of all time.
