A 2023 PS5, PS4 horror game is being scrubbed from online storefronts more than a year after its developer shut down. Stray Souls was developed by Jukai Studio and published by Versus Evil, both of which shut down a month apart.
Stray Souls already scrubbed from Steam, PS5 / PS4 game likely to follow
PC players noticed that Stray Souls Steam page was completely removed without notice. Typically, Steam entries for delisted games tend to stay live but this one has been yanked entirely.
This suggests that the game’s PS5 and PS4 versions will also be removed from the PS Store in due course, and if you like collecting obscure games, Stray Souls is currently discounted. PS Plus users can grab it for $10.49, and non-subscribers can buy it for $11.99.
Be warned, though, that Stray Souls isn’t AAA quality. The game was made by a small team and was widely panned upon release. The game flopped pretty hard, and is considered a contributing factor to Versus Evil shutting down after a decade of operations. There is currently no trace of Jukai Studio anywhere either.
Stray Souls was published by tinyBuild Games on the PS Store — the publisher behind Hello Neighbor series.
