PlayStation Vita & Three Other Sony Products Win Product Design Awards

The PlayStation Vita, Sony’s newest handheld, is the recipient of a prestigious product design award in Germany. Three other Sony products received awards as well.

Germany’s Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen has selected the PlayStation Vita as one of the recipients of the Red Dot Award for Innovative Product Design. The PS3 Wireless Stereo Headset, PS3 Wireless Keyboard, PS3 3D Display and the Vita won the Red Dot Award for design quality as well.

SCE President Andrew House gave the following comment about Vita winning the award:

To be recognized for our commitment to product design by leading industry experts is a fantastic achievement for SCE. We are particularly thrilled with the reaction and expectation to the recently launched PS Vita in North America, and Europe, the ultimate portable entertainment system, especially the introduction of innovative new ways to play and interact. Winning a red dot award for product design further establishes PS Vita as the must-have portable entertainment system across the world.

The Red Dot Awards had more than 4,500 entries from 58 countries and regions this year.

We at PSLS would like to congratulate Sony and everyone at SCE on this achievement.
