November 2, 2012 Written by Alex Osborn

Sony’s new look for the PlayStation Store is now live for PlayStation 3 users in North America.

The update was originally supposed to go live on October 23rd, but suffered a delay. Fortunately, Sony’s managed to sort out whatever issues they were having, as the new and improved marketplace is up and running right now.

The store revamp doesn’t just bring a fresh new look, it also adds new levels of functionality, making your online browsing experience far more intuitive and fluid. For all the details, check out the update video below.

In addition to being available in the United States, the sleek new store is also up and running in Canada, Brazil, Mexico and Europe. Let’s face it, an update was long overdue, as the old look was really starting to show its age.

If you’ve already gotten a chance to check out the new marketplace for yourself, be sure to sound off in the comments below with your thoughts on the changes.
