Dragon Age: Inquisition 900p/30fps Rumor is “A Fake,” Says BioWare (Update)

Update:

And just like that, BioWare has confirmed that Dragon Age: Inquisition will be 1080p on PlayStation 4 and 900p on Xbox One:

We’re still awaiting details on frames-per-second and specs for other platforms, so stay tuned for more details as they arrive.

Original Story:

Yesterday, BioWare held a livestream of Dragon Age: Inquisition on Twitch where they detailed various parts of the game and its gameplay. Following this, 1080players posted news about the livestream, saying it was revealed that Inquisition would run at 900p/30fps on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

To clear everything up regarding specs, BioWare Producer Cameron Lee went on the BioWare forums, saying:

We haven’t announced anything of the kind. It’s a fake.

Lee later added:

I know lots of people are curious about this topic and we’ll talk about at a later time, so until then anyone saying things like that should be taken with a mountain of salt.

Over in a NeoGAF thread from yesterday discussing the livestream, people pointed out how BioWare didn’t address the resolution when asked, and even dodged the question.

The latest news we’ve received from BioWare about Inquisition specs is from an interview we held with Cameron Lee recently, where he said specs aren’t finalized yet, but “we will certainly be aiming for as absolute high as the PlayStation can go in terms of resolution.”

Dragon Age: Inquisition will be released on November 18 in North America and November 21 in Europe for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
