Japanese Sales Chart: 3DS Defeats PS4, Mirror’s Edge Debuts in 9th

Thanks to the new Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and its 197,000 copies sold, the New 3DS LL was able to capture first place on the hardware chart in Japan last week, moving 21,700 units.

With the 3DS victory, it puts the PlayStation 4 in 2nd place for the first time in a couple of months, moving 19,500 units.

As for software, Dragon Quest Heroes II and Overwatch stayed strong, while a trio of PS4 new releases – Project CARS: Perfect Edition, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, and Grand Ages Medieval – all debuted under 10,000 sold.

Here’s how each system sold, along with the top 20 selling retail games in Japan from May 30 – June 5, 2016, according to Media Create:
