In a press release on their website, Sony Interactive Entertainment Korea revealed that they’ll be announcing the release date and price of a new PlayStation 4 – likely the PS4 Slim – on September 8 during a press conference.
Meanwhile, over on the Spanish PlayStation Blog, Sony confirmed that there will be “new announcements” at the PlayStation Meeting on Wednesday, September 7 at 12pm PT/3pm ET in New York. Although the Spanish PS Blog wouldn’t specifically mention what will be unveiled on Wednesday, they did say (according to Google Translate), “What I can guarantee you that it is going to discover the future of the game and know many of the innovations that we have prepared for the coming months.”
The PlayStation Meeting on Wednesday will be livestreamed, but we’ll probably have to wait until tomorrow for more details on the event as today is a holiday. The Meeting is expected to include both the PS4 Slim and PS4 Neo.
