The games industry has been hit with some sad news as it has been revealed that Metal Gear‘s Solidus Snake voice actor, John Cygan, and Arcana Heart developer, Tohru Sakurai, have both passed away.
Cygan, 63, died on Saturday after a long battle with cancer. His latest works include last year’s Final Fantasy XV and Mafia III. He also lent his talents to hits like Grand Theft Auto V, and a plethora of movies and TV shows.
Cygan leaves behind his wife and two children.
As for Sakurai, who is best known for his work on Examu Inc’s Arcana Heart, we’ve learned that he passed away in the beginning of May. However, news of his demise wasn’t announced until a day ago when Examu’s Twitter account released an official statement on the matter. Sakurai was working on a new manga, Battle Mexia, which the company says will continue in his absence.
