Dragon Quest XI PS4

Dragon Quest XI Confirmed for PS4 By PlayStation Europe

Last week, Square Enix finally announced that Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is coming to North America and Europe in 2018, but they didn’t mention any platforms. Today though, PlayStation Europe uploaded the announcement video (above), confirming that it’s coming to PlayStation 4 by using the title “Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age | Announcement video w/ Yuji Horii | PS4.”

In Japan, Dragon Quest XI is available for PS4 and Nintendo 3DS. A Nintendo Switch version is also in the works.

During the Western release confirmation video, Horii said the localization has already begun, then added, “The game is currently being localized into five languages, including English. There’s quite a lot of text, so it’s an exorbitant amount of work. But, we’re doing our best and working hard to get this game to all of you as soon as possible, so I sincerely hope you look forward to the game.”

Expect more details on the Western release this fall.

According to Exophase (via Google Translate), Dragon Quest XI has 59 Trophies in total, and the single Gold Trophy asks you to solve all the mysteries of Rotozitacia. Some of the Silver Trophies ask you to complete 40 quests, obtain more than 500 items, and gather all the fancy equipments.

How big of a debut are you expecting from Dragon Quest XI in Japan?
