Mary Skelter: Nightmares Job System Detailed
Mary Skelter: Nightmares will be releasing later this month, and Idea Factory is showing off a new mechanic for this dungeon crawling JRPG. While many dungeon crawlers have character creators and different classes to choose from, Mary Skelter has classes limited per character. Not every party member can become every class, which means that you’ll have to think hard about your party makeups and what characters can do.
Here’s more information from Gematsu:
Marchens and Nightmares come in all shapes and sizes, and with all kinds of weaknesses and strengths. Just as Marchens evolve, your party must too!
Use the Job System to change a Blood Maiden’s abilities and appearance, which will allow you to access a completely different set of equipment and skills. Each Blood Maiden has a unique list of jobs to choose that’s based on her combat style. Some are able to choose special jobs like “Item Meister,” which allows her to use items in battle, or “Poet,” which allows her to use music to support her party. There are over 20 jobs to choose from so you can customize your own Blood Maiden team!
Mary Skelter: Nightmares will release on the PlayStation Vita September 19 in North America, and September 22 in Europe.
