Japanese Sales Chart: Pokémon Has Staying Power, Nobunaga’s Ambition Debuts

Once again nobody could top pocket monsters off the top of the Japanese sales chart. In its third week of sales, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon managed to sell over 100,000 units. That’s an incredible number, and shows the staying power of Nintendo’s role-playing game series (especially since this was more of a tweaked release rather than an all-new title).

In hardware sales, the Nintendo Switch once again managed to top the charts by an incredible margin. It outsold the second best selling console (the PlayStation 4) by nearly 100,000 units.

As far as new PS4 releases go, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Taishi managed to grab the sixth spot with over 27,000 units sold. Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time also came in at number 13.
