Madden Curse Strikes Again!

It’s been long said that EA’s Madden is cursed. Any athlete brave enough to be featured on the flagship NFL franchise’s game cover, risks falling under that curse. After last night’s NFL season opener, the Madden curse has struck again.

While not as substantial of an injury as previous cursed Madden cover athletes, this years cover athlete Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers, injured his knee in last night’s game versus the Tennessee Titans.

While trying to recover a blocked field goal attempt, Titan’s tight end Alge Crumpler fell awkwardly across Polamalu’s knee, resulting in a sprained Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL).

Troy Polamalu will be out for 3-6 weeks.
