Square Enix understands how intertwined the universe of Final Fantasy is—and should be. In what is probably one of the most anticipated of the “Closed Theater” trailers, DISSIDIA 012[duodecim] FINAL FANTASY gives us a reason to use a word that is often over-used to describe game trailers: epic.
Lightning, Cain Highwind, Warrior of Light and Garland all appear in the latest trailer that outlines the 12th battle between Cosmos and Chaos, between harmony and discord. Being known for keeping you engaged until the end of their trailers, Square Enix has a surprise at the end of this one for Dissidia 012. In a skillfully directed scene, a new character asks: “Who are you?”. The response by, someone truly terrifying, is “Your enemy. There’s no need for you to know more.”
I won’t spoil it for you, but I imagine you will do what I did: watch it all the way to the end, and then watch it again.
