New Character Reveal Tomorrow for Batman: Arkham City, Collector’s Edition Detailed

Batman: Arkham City is undoubtedly one of the hardest-hitting titles to release later this year. The game garnered a ton of hype at this year’s E3, garnering best-of-show awards in plenty of places, including here on PSLS. So it’s easy to see why we’re so excited to hear of a new character reveal. We’ve also got the full details of the game’s Collector’s Edition.

At a live Comic Con panel featuring a number of the game’s voice-actors, a new character is rumored to be revealed. No word yet if this is another playable character, similar to Catwoman, a challenge room-specific character like Robin, a villain, or something else entirely. We’ll bring you the information when it arrives tomorrow. For now, feast your eyes on the game’s Collector’s Edition.

As with any major release, the game is going to feature a special Collector’s Edition. The contents of the Batman: Arkham City Collector’s Edition have been revealed.

Here’s what your $99 will net you from the world of the Batman. The Arkham City Collector’s Edition includes the following:

  • Custom Batman statue produced by Kotobukiya
  • Collectible art book
  • Early access to the Iceberg Lounge Challenge Map and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns skin
  • Batman: Arkham City album from WaterTower Music including original songs by hit artists, available via digital redemption
  • Bonus DC Universe animated original movie, Batman: Gotham Knight
  • Four collectible cards

With Arkham City releasing this fall, many people will no doubt start pinching pennies in order to save up for this collector’s edition, though it is distinctly lacking a replica batarang this time around. Batman: Arkham City is set to arrive on store shelves on October 18, 19, and 21 in North America, Australia and Europe respectively.
