Ubisoft Planning to Shoot Many Robots Next Year

After announcing Shoot Many Robots back in 2010, Demiurge Studios has kept a rather low profile as the game progressed towards its release date sometime in 2011. Unfortunately, SMS has been delayed into 2012, but now it will have the financial and marketing backing of Ubisoft.

Adam Novickas, director of marketing at Ubisoft, talked about the partnership:

Ubisoft is excited to be working with Demiurge Studios on the release of Shoot Many Robots. Ubisoft is focused on providing players with a strong and diverse portfolio of digital titles, and Demiurge is set to bring another amazing game to the digital space with Shoot Many Robots.

Shoot Many Robots follows the story of P. Walter Tugnut on his mission to kill as many robots as possible after a factory starts producing killer robots. The game supports four-player co-op, and is designed as a “run-n-gun side-scrolling RPG shooter”. It will also feature two game modes: Traversal, which includes normal linear levels, and Survival, where players fight against waves of robots.

Shoot Many Robots will be at PAX Prime in 26–28, 2011. The game will come to PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade and PC in 2012.
