At Level-5’s Vision event in Japan, it has been announced that the upcoming role-playing game Ni No Kuni will be headed to the United States and Europe sometime next year. Namco Bandai will be publishing the game, and its official title will be Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.
There has been no official confirmation as to which platforms the game will release on, as a DS version was released last year in Japan and a PS3 version is expected to release next month. One thing is certain though, the game’s art style is absolutely beautiful.
With a market that is currently dominated by western RPGs like Fallout and Mass Effect, Ni No Kuni will be a breath of fresh air. I never thought I would say that about a Japanese role-playing game, but it’s clear that Level-5 is working hard to create a pretty compelling experience.
No specific release date was given besides a general 2012 time frame.
