Vita Will Support Multiple PSN Accounts, But Only on Multiple Memory Cards

After reports claimed that the PlayStation Vita will be locked to one PSN account, with users having to factory reset their handheld to use another account, Sony has now clarified the situation.

Speaking to Wired.com, Sony associate brand marketing manager Crystal MacKenzie said that the Vita won’t be locked to one account, but that memory sticks will:

Your PSN ID is bonded to your memory card and your memory card is bonded to your Vita. So if you wanted to change different PSN users but use the same memory card, you would need to go factory reset.

She also added that you can use multiple cards on the same PSN account. Unfortunately, PS Vita cards are far from cheap, and will already add to the cost of your Vita as it is.

Will you buy another memory card just so that you can download games from other regions, or so you can share your handheld with another user? Let us know in the comments below.
