Sony’s Fergal Gara on the PlayStation Move: “We Could Have Done a Better Job”

No one can really deny the fact that Sony’s motion technology has been poorly supported ever since the PlayStation Move launched back in 2010, with unique games like Sorcery only just starting to release. Sony’s UK vice president and managing director Fergal Gara, spoke to the current state of the Move and the company’s failure in taking advantage of what it can do.

Speaking to OPM, Gara confessed that Sony “could have done a better job” with the Move, pointing out that it really is great technology that the company has just failed to capitalize on.

Great tech, probably not so great applications so far. So there’s a job for us to do on the strength of games, and having seen what’s forthcoming gives me great hope that we can do a better job with Move as we look forward. So we’re certainly not forgetting about it.

With Sorcery set to launch on May 22nd, and Move support confirmed for BioShock Infinite, there will definitely be at least a few reasons to dust off that goofy looking wand in just a couple of months.
