A PlayStation version of the smash mobile hit, cultural phenomenon, Angry Birds, didn’t arrive until long after the original game took flight on iOS and even Android. And it looks like the upcoming Angry Birds Space is going to follow the same trajectory.
Rovio is going big with the March 22nd release of Angry Birds Space, and say they want the game on “all screens”. But there’s one screen it won’t be available on at launch, and that’s the PlayStation Vita’s gorgeous, crisp 5-inch OLED screen.
Speaking with Joystiq at the recent SXSW convention, Rovio’s chief marketing officer Peter Vesterbacka said that the ball is in Sony’s court, and it’s more up to Sony if Angry Birds Space is to ever make it onto the PlayStation Vita.
Sony, make this happen.
