Final Fantasy Versus XIII Theme to Debut in 3DS Rhythm Game

Dying for any piece of info on Square’s long awaited Final Fantasy XIII spinoff? Well, we’ve got a tidbit of goodness to throw your way regarding Versus XIII’s soundtrack, as the game’s main theme will make its debut in the Japanese 3DS game Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy.

The song, titled “Somnus” was crafted by the beloved Kingdom Hearts composer Yoko Shimomura. The song will be available for Japanese gamers via an update and will likely be available for western gamers when the localized version of Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy releases this summer.

While this tiny morsel of news isn’t much to chew on, Final Fantasy fans can rest in the fact that at least something related to the game will be making its way to gamers this year. Just last month, Nomura delivered the disappointing news that the game’s reveal would be delayed, so at this point, news regarding the game’s theme is the most promising thing we’ve heard about Versus XIII in quite a while.
