Square Enix has announced the Hitman: Absolution Professional Edition, in addition to various retailer pre-order bonuses.
The Professional Edition includes: a premium hardcover art book with a foreword from Game Director Tore Blystad, a behind-the-scenes “making of” video, and a clamshell box. Weapons included in the Professional Edition include: The Agency Jagd P22G pistol (a stealthy weapon), the Agency HX UMP submachine gun and the Agency SPS 12 semi-automatic shotgun (for head-on fights with enemies).
Hitman: Absolution also has the following retailer bonuses:
- Gamers who pre-order from Amazon.com will receive the Bartoli Custom Pistol, “an engineered precision weapon” with sight and silencer.
- Gamers who pre-order from Best Buy will receive the Bronson 1928M SMG, a submachine gun with high fire rate and power.
- Gamers who pre-order GameStop will receive the Sniper Rifle: Agency Kazo TRG, which has an upgradable scope and silencer.
- Finally, gamers who pre-order from Walmart will receive the Krugermeier 2-2 Pistol, an accurate stealth weapon with a built-in silencer.
More pre-order bonuses for Hitman: Absolution will be announced in May.

Hitman: Absolution is currently scheduled to be released for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC sometime in 2012.
