WWE ’13 Announced, Laying The Smackdown On Consoles This October

Last night on WWE RAW, WWE announced the next installment of their long-running game franchise, WWE ’13.

Straight Edge Superstar and current WWE Champion CM Punk will be the cover athlete for this year’s installment of the game. The new installment is promising an evolution of last year’s “Predator Technology” (offering fluid animations, better move transitions, and more), WWE Universe 3.0, new WWE Live audio and presentation system, and a single player campaign focused on eight “purveyors” of the WWE Attitude era and the “Monday Night Wars,” including Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Confirmed roster members thus far are Stone Cold Steve Austin, CM Punk, The Undertaker, Mankind, Sheamus, Chris Jericho, The Big Show, and “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry. The roster in this year’s installment is said to be the largest in the franchise to date.

WWE ’13 is currently scheduled to release for PS3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii on October 30, 2012.
