Thief 4 has been in development for quite some time, and if a recent rumor is to be believed, the game has now been pushed to next-gen consoles.
According to a report from the latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine, this stealth action title from Eidos is set to release late 2013, and will coincide with the launch of Microsoft’s Xbox 360 successor. The report didn’t specify the PlayStation 4, but considering the Xbox-focused nature of this particular outlet, it doesn’t surprise us that they left it out.
As such, one would assume that the game would also launch on Sony’s new console should it manage to release around the same time. Mind you, this report was found in the gossip section, so this is by no means a confirmation that Thief 4 has moved to new hardware, though it certainly wouldn’t surprise us if it proves to be true.
