Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press conference has come and gone and we heard nothing about Team ICO’s The Last Guardian.
Since it has been so long since we’ve seen the game in action, rumors have surfaced suggesting that the title has been pushed to the PlayStation 4. That, however, is not the case, as Sony Worldwide Studios head Shuhei Yoshida recently clarified that the game is indeed still set to release on the PS3.
At the Tokyo Game Show, Kotaku spoke with a developer from Sony who wished to remain anonymous but commented on the status of the game. “I give you my word that it exists. We are working on it.”
The unnamed source went on to add that “there are lots of pieces of the puzzle. It’s a matter of getting them to fit together.” The developer also went on to suggest that Sony may have announced the game too early.
