No Demo or Season Pass Planned for Tomb Raider

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamic’s upcoming Tomb Raider reboot won’t feature any type of online or season pass. In addition, the studio has no plans to release a demo, so you’re going to have to fork over the cash for the full game if you want to experience any piece of Lara’s latest journey.

Karl Stewart, Tomb Raider‘s Global Manager, explained on Twitter why they have decided not to release a demo, saying:

For all those @tombraider fans asking. There are no plans to release a demo of the game pre-launch. We don’t want to spoil the story……..

…We’ve weaved such an personal story we don’t believe spoiling it by having you wait a week or so to play on, delivers on our promise.

Stewart went on to address whether or not there would be an online or season pass for the game, saying flat out that the game wouldn’t come with a pass of any kind. I must admit, that’s wonderfully refreshing news. Could the days of online passes finally be behind us?
