Fuse Demo Hits the PlayStation Network on May 7th, Allows for Four Player Online Co-op (Update)

Ahead of the May 28th release in North America and May 31st in Europe, Insomniac and EA have announced that a demo for Fuse is going to be available for download through the PSN on May 7th.

With the demo, you can play online co-op with up to four players, or in 2 player split-screen, taking control of Dalton Brooks, Izzy Sinclair, Jacob Kimble, and Naya Deveraux. Exact details about the which part of the game you’ll be playing weren’t revealed, but you can expect to use each character’s unique weapon and skills.

Ted Price, CEO and Founder of Insomniac Games, talked a little about Fuse:

When it comes to Fuse, the biggest thing we’ve noticed when sharing it with others for the first time is that playing is believing. Fuse takes four player co-op in a new direction with features you won’t find in other third person shooters: from LEAP where you can jump between each of the four unique agents at will to the experimental Xenotech weapons to the deep RPG-like character progression system. And by the way, all of these features rock for solo players as well. Join us in this brand new universe for a quintessential Insomniac Games experience.

While we still don’t yet know if Fuse will be a Day 1 Digital title on the PSN (Update: It Is!), we do know that it won’t include an Online Pass or have microtransactions.
