Ubisoft on The Division: “No Plans to cap the Number of Players who can be Affiliated to any Particular Clan”

Just like with Killzone: Shadow Fall, fans were allowed to ask questions on Twitter and Facebook about The Division. Also like Killzone, only a few questions received answers, but there are some interesting pieces of information doled out for this always online title.

When someone asked about the online and other aspects, Antione Emon, Senior Community Developer on The Division, talked about how you are able to team up with a group of friends in co-op and jump in and jump out at any time. He then added that, in certain areas, “you can also seamlessly engage in PvP,” and depending on the choices you make as a Division agent, you “can either spur a recovery or plunge the city into further chaos.”

Antione also mentioned how you can customize your agent with “thousands of weapons types, skill combinations, gear and much more,” while also answering the question of how many players we can expect to be part of a clan or guild:

Right now we have no plans to cap the number of players who can be affiliated to any particular clan. We are also looking to have a very extensive web-based clan support system for all players in The Division.

A release date for The Division on PS4 and Xbox One (a PC version isn’t ruled out) is TBA 2014 right now.
