Grand Theft Auto V PS3 PSN Pre-Loads Begin Sunday at 3PM GMT in Europe, 3AM EST on Monday in North America

Update 2: Rockstar also tweeted: “Those who’ve pre-ordered GTAV on PSN will be able to preload the game as follows: Sunday 3PM BST in Europe, Monday 3AM EST [12AM PST] in the US.” Have fun!

Update: The European PlayStation Twitter account tweeted: “For those people who have pre-ordered GTAV on European PS Store, you will be able to download the game from 3pm (GMT) on Sunday 15th Sept.” So, you’ll be able to pre-load the game a day before SuperFastZombie originally said.

Original Story: After originally detailing that Grand Theft Auto V on the EU PSN would be up for pre-load today, September 13th, SuperFastZombie, Online Support Coordinator, has confirmed that it will now be taking place on Monday, September 16th, the day before it actually launches.

As SuperFastZombie clarified on Twitter for those wondering, the “GTA V PS Store pre-order will be available to pre-download (not play) on Monday the 16th Sept,” meaning that you still won’t be able to play the game until Tuesday rolls around. Keep in mind that the file is currently listed as 17.2GB on the web store, so pre-loading is a very good idea if you get the chance to do so on Monday.

We’ve reached out to Sony to see if there will be a similar pre-load option for North America and we’ll let you know if we hear anything back.

If, however, you’d prefer a physical copy of Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar has unleashed a midnight launch locator, which you can check out over here. Just remember that there’s an 8GB install associated with it.
