Japanese Sales Charts: 3DS Dominates Software, Donkey Kong Wii U Debuts at 35,000

With the PlayStation 4 launch on Saturday, things were quiet in Japan last week, where Dragon Quest Monsters 2 on 3DS repeated as the #1 selling game, and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze on Wii U represented the highest debut in 2nd place with over 35,000 sales.

Looking at PlayStation systems, the PS Vita, PS3, PSP, and PS Vita TV all pretty much stayed at the same sales numbers as last week, with the PSP selling 4 less units this week and the PS3 selling 14 less units. For the 3DS LL (aka XL), it dropped down to under 30,000 following the Dragon Quest Monsters 2 boost.
