With the Destiny beta entering its final weekend, Bungie has announced that they’ve opened it up, allowing anyone with a PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 (PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold are required for some features) to try out the game before it launches on September 9.
Bungie explained their reasoning for opening the beta:
The Beta has been eye-opening so far. We’ve watched the world of Destiny come to life. Guardians from every platform have arrived at the Tower from their battles in the wild. We have watched your adventures with great interest, and listened to your feedback. Your missions have provided us with volumes of discoveries we can use to prepare for the launch of Destiny in September.
Our work is not done. There is more we can learn. To make this happen, we need more Guardians to play. This is, above all else, a test.
There will be more surprises throughout the next few days of the Destiny beta, with The Iron Banner event set to go live today and Saturday.
