Styx: Master of Shadows Trailer Shows Off Some Sneaky Gameplay

Cyanide Studios has released a new gameplay trailer of its upcoming stealth game Styx: Master of Shadows, which showcases some of the game’s stealth mechanics.

The trailer shows the goblin Styx sneaking up on unsuspecting people and silently killing them using a variety of skills and weapons, such as the ability to turn invisible and the ability to launch throwing knives into the guards’ backs.

Although he is a short and somewhat hunched goblin, Styx actually seems to be incredibly agile. The video shows him nimbly jumping onto people as he cuts their throats, and then quickly scaling structures to get away.

It also looks like the environment can be used to one’s advantage, as Styx waits above a swinging crate until people go underneath, at which point he cuts the rope on the crate, crushing the people below.

Styx: The Master of Shadows will be coming out on the PlayStation 4 this October.
