While the specific platforms weren’t revealed quite yet, Sledgehammer Games confirmed in an interview earlier this month that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare would have dedicated servers.

The news comes from Sledgehammer Co-Founder Michael Condrey, who told Stevivor:

Yes, we will be supporting dedicated servers and there will be announcements soon on which providers and platforms. I can’t answer just yet, but you can let your community know that it’s coming.

Elsewhere in the interview, Condrey’s work on Dead Space was brought up, and he admitted that “nobody on the team could have expected the critical acclaim the game got. We didn’t expect it to be as big as it was.”

What Condrey learned from Dead Space is “that you have to focus on quality,” and with Advanced Warfare, “Activision has given us the time and resources to deliver a quality game. We’re proud of this one and really think we’ve brought that Dead Space focus on quality.”

If Activision announces dedicated server support for PlayStation, we’ll let you know.
