As part of a large post on the PlayStation Forums, LittleBigPlanet Community Coordinator Steven Isbell gave an update on some of the known issues they’re trying to fix in LittleBigPlanet 3, while also detailing patch 1.03 for the game on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
If you’re playing LBP3 on PS4 though, Isbell warns that “some players are encountering issues with game progression by attempting to access content that is not ready to be used.” To avoid this, he says to check the download status of your update before starting the game, and if it’s done downloading, you’re ready to go.
Taking up 365.5MB on PS4 and 102.5MB on PS3, here’s all the patch notes for update 1.03 in LittleBigPlanet 3:

Updates will continue to rollout for LittleBigPlanet 3, with these issues highlighted as some of the high-frequency ones:
End of Level Completion Prizes Not Appearing in Popit
- Players Popits are not updating with the rewards for Level Completion, Level Acing and 100% Prize Bubble Collection.
- Within your Pause Menu, scroll down to Profile and enable “Collect Community Prizes”. This will allow you to collect your prizes for completing a level until we can roll-out a proper fix.
Pressing L3 in Create Mode Affects All Players
- Pressing L3 to enter Preview Mode activates everyone’s Preview Mode instead of enabling it for just the activating player.
- Enabling “Preview” in the Pause Menu will not affect other users.
Hearting Tools Adds Them to the Popit Outside of Create Mode
- Whilst Hearting a number of Tools will add them to your Popit outside of Create Mode, they are entirely non-functional.
As for all the missing DLC in LittleBigPlanet 3, Isbell says they still plan to have the issues resolved by December 16.
Isbell also talked about the Rare LittleBigPlanet 3 T-Shirts and LittleBigPlanet 3 Launch Spacesuits, which will have their release indefinitely extended “until we are 100% certain that they are available in all countries.” Once they decide to remove the content, you’ll be given a one week heads-up.
