Naughty Dog Doesn’t Seem Keen on Resurrecting Crash Bandicoot or Jak and Daxter

Fans of Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter — prepare to be sorely disppointed. In a recent Game Informer interview with Naughty Dog’s Josh Scherr, it was revealed that Naughty Dog does not want to pursue bringing either series back.

When asked if Scherr missed working on games like Crash and Jak and Daxter, gave a firm “no,” explaining that he and the other members of Naughty Dog have grown up a lot since then.

No, I don’t, because we’ve got an amazing team of people making some really expressive performances with our current stable of realistic characters. I mean, animating the stylised stuff is a lot of fun, but the stories that we’re trying to tell right now are a little bit more grounded and a little bit more grown up than they were back in the Jak and Daxter days.

While that doesn’t necessarily mean the company will never return to their older titles, it does look like for the time being they will be focusing on more realistic games like more Uncharted and The Last of Us. What do you think of Scherr’s comments? Would you want to play a Crash Bandicoot reboot?
