While the surprise may have been ruined by the Trophy list leaking out ahead of time, Curve Digital has announced that Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones is releasing for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and PC in early April 2015, after previously being a Wii U exclusive.
An action-platformer, Stealth Inc 2 expands upon the original “in every possible way, introducing a metroidvania-style overworld, hidden secrets, customizable clones with a wide range of silly hats, and brand new gadgets and equipment to play with.”
For fans of the original Stealth Inc, Curve Digital is keeping robots, lasers, gratuitous blood splatters, sarcastic messages, test chambers with their own ranking system, and leaderboards.
Director Jason Perkins talked about the game:
The best thing about making a sequel is the opportunity to look at the all the reviews and comments about the original game and ask ‘What can we do better this time around?’. With Stealth Inc 2, we’ve not only made a much larger game, we’ve spent a lot of time improving the pacing and balance.
So far, the Stealth Inc series has seen over a million downloads on all major platforms.
There was no word on a price or whether it would include cross-buy on PlayStation. A new video also wasn’t given today, so we’ve included the Wii U one from last year to give you an idea of what to expect.
