Report: Phil Harrison is Leaving Microsoft

Phil Harrison, Vice President of the Interactive Entertainment Business over at Microsoft, is apparently planning to leave the technology and software company.

According to GamesIndustry.biz, which collected information about his imminent departure from numerous sources at GDC 15, Harrison is leaving due to frustrations over a lack of promotion after Don Mattrick left Microsoft and Phil Spencer was promoted. However, this cannot be confirmed, as neither Microsoft or Harrison has commented on any part of the issue.

Before going to work for Microsoft, Harrison was the Executive Vice President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, and had held senior positions at various other technology-focused companies. What do you think of his apparent departure from Microsoft? Let us know in the comments.
