Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo Comes to PS Vita in North America This Month

Not to be confused with Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy, Arc System Works has announced that Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo will release for the PlayStation Vita on March 24 in North and South America, priced at $14.99. A European launch date wasn’t confirmed, but it will eventually happen.

A Mech-Action RPG, Damascus Gear puts you into the pilot’s seat of a giant robot so you can punch, shoot, and destroy hordes of evil robots hell-bent on destroying mankind.

Here’s what Arc System Works had to say about the game:

As one of the members of FREYA, the robot-fightin’-est outfit on the planet, you’ll use your GEAR (good robot) to beat the ever-loving snot out of the RAGE (bad robots, anagram of “GEAR”). And these mechanics just wouldn’t be RPG-inspired if they didn’t involve picking parts off the metallic corpses of your defeated foes and bolting them onto your own rattling, death-dealing hulk of steel! So naturally you can do that too.

For features, you’ll find the mission-based story mode, arena-mode to fight against AI, different parts to make your GEARS match your fighting style, and DLC with new armor, weapons, and missions.

Will you check out Damascus Gear this month?
