Atom Universe PS4 Demo Released on PlayStation Store, Project Hits Kickstarter Goal

Having reached their Kickstarter goal with five days to go, Atom Republic has announced that they are targeting a simultaneous PlayStation 4 and PC release for Atom Universe as the first stretch goal, with a beta aimed for August 2015.

To help get an idea of what Atom Universe is all about, a playable single player demo is available in Europe, with a demo also scheduled to hit North America today/tomorrow.

In the press release for Atom Universe, the team said it’s “hailed as next destination to former fans of PlayStation Home.”

A futuristic virtual reality-themed theme park, Atom Universe offers up “fun rides, great mini-games, and places for players to chat, compete, have fun and interact. The initial launch of the game will include a main area and 3 mini-games to play, the shooting gallery, the mini-cart race, and the motor stunts challenge.”

For the future, Atom Republic plans on adding Project Morpheus support on PS4, as well as lots of new content.

Helping Atom Republic with development is nDreams, who were very involved with PlayStation Home.
