E3 2015 to Be Open to Invited Members of the Public

While the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) has always been an “industry-only” affair since its inception, that’s about to change this E3 2015.

The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) will admit between 4,000-5,000 of the gaming public to E3 2015 — though by invite only.

ESA Senior Vice President of Consumer and Industry Affairs Rich Taylor states, “This year, for the first time, there will be prosumers in the halls…Member exhibitors each have an allotment of some passes that they are permitted to distribute to their valued customers.” Taylor explains that each of the trade group’s 31 company members will be allotted a number of extra passes based on the size of their booths at the show.

The extra 4,000 to 5,000 extra passes mean that there’s a projected 10 percent bump in the people attending E3 this year compared to 2014.

Are you one of the prosumers invited? If you’re attending E3, don’t forget to say hi to some of the PlayStation LifeStyle staff when you see ’em loitering about on the show floor.
