Capcom Plans to Release a Big Game Every 2.5 Years, Will Continue Supporting PS3, Xbox 360

Despite a push away from last-gen consoles, like the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, Capcom revealed in a recent financial report that it will continue producing games for older systems.

In the report, Capcom mentioned that it makes financial sense to continue developing for last-gen consoles, as a number of people still own them. Capcom also stated that it plans to release a big name title every 2.5 years.

We will create a title portfolio with ongoing growth potential thorough the full-fledged operation of our medium-term strategic 60-month title development plan. Specifically, we will (1) promote support for multiple platforms, both current and older game consoles, and (2) release new titles in popular series once every 2.5 years.

Will you still be getting Capcom games on last-gen consoles? What do you think of a new, big budget title coming out every 2.5 years?
