While CD Projekt RED is still working on The Witcher 3’s next paid expansion, Blood and Wine, it looks like the studio is winding down work on The Witcher 3 to focus on its next big project, Cyberpunk 2077.
In an interview, CD Projekt SVP of Business and Publishing Michal Nowakowski mentioned that a bigger chunk of the studio is now working on the open-world, sci-fi RPG.
The team is divided right now…There’s a sizable team still working on [The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine], but an even more sizable team has actually been working on Cyberpunk for quite a while right now.
Blood and Wine is set to launch in early 2016, while Cyberpunk 2077 still has no confirmed release window. Not blaming CD Projekt for that as it mentioned that Cyberpunk 2077 is “far bigger” than The Witcher 3, which is no small feat if you’ve played Geralt’s latest adventure.
