The Park Launches on May 3 for PS4 & Xbox One

Marking developer Funcom’s first console release since Dreamfall: The Longest Journey in 2006, first-person horror game The Park is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 3 in North America and Europe.

Playing as Lorraine, a mother whose son goes missing at the Atlantic Island Park, you must search the amusement park and “face panic and paranoia” as you unravel her story and the history of the park. Funcom adds that The Park focuses entirely on storytelling and exploration instead of combat and action, drawing inspiration from games like Gone Home, Dear Esther, and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.

Funcom CEO Rui Casais said:

We are thrilled to develop games for consoles again. Not only because The Park is a great fit for console gaming, but the process has also given us a lot of experience which we can use for some of our upcoming games, like CONAN EXILES.

Funcom has previously said that The Park will take one to two hours to complete.
