Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Open Beta Coming, Expert Mission Multiplayer Mode Revealed

Bandai Namco announced some new Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 details today, including the fact that there will be an Open Beta. The Open Beta doesn’t have a date yet (expect details “soon”), but we do know it will let you explore Conton City, the new hub area that’s seven times larger than the previous hub city.

As the Fight Together trailer shows, Xenoverse 2 includes a new Expert Mission multiplayer mode where you and five other players work together to fight giant NPC bosses. “The ability to join-up with friends to take-on one boss character not only embodies the spirit of Dragon Ball Z, it also gives players the opportunity to form strategic team play that will deliver the most dynamic multiplayer experience in any Dragon Ball Z game to-date,” Bandai Namco says. The end of the trailer also teases Majin Vegeta, who will be included in Xenoverse 2.

Compared to the first Xenoverse, Xenoverse 2 includes twice the amount of quests, and there will be new parallel quests from the original. You’ll also find a new system controlling rare item drops, giving you the chance to hunt for your favorite costumes and accessories.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 releases on October 25 in North America and October 28 in Europe for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
