There’s been a lot of talk about the PlayStation 4 Pro’s technical details since its official unveiling yesterday. While Sony has published a specifications sheet, its Lead System Architect, Mark Cerny, will discuss the technical aspects in greater detail in the near future. This news was confirmed to GameSpot by a PlayStation representative as well as Guerrilla Games.
In the same meeting, Guerrilla Games’ Art Director, Jan-Bart Van Beek, also confirmed that Horizon: Zero Dawn‘s assets aren’t rendered in 4K for the PS4 Pro but they’re “so close” that we wouldn’t be able to tell. “It’s not native 4K. It is perceptively so close that you wouldn’t be able to see the difference with normal human eyes,” he said.
We’ll update our readers when we find out more about Cerny’s presentation. In the meantime, you can check out Horizon: Zero Dawn‘s gameplay from yesterday’s meeting here if you missed it.
