Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star Releases on January 17, 2017 for PS4 & PS Vita

XSEED Games and Marvelous Games have announced that Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star is releasing on January 17, 2017 in North America and January 20, 2017 in Europe for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

You can pre-order the digital version of Fate/Extella for PS4 through the PlayStation Store. Both regions get the Shackled Bride Outfit DLC for Nero by pre-ordering, while North American gamers will also receive instant access to an exclusive theme. The PS Vita version won’t be up for pre-order, but in the two weeks following launch there will be a special bundle that includes the game, an exclusive theme, and the Cold-Blooded Warden DLC outfit for Gilgamesh.

At retail, there’s the standard edition for both platforms ($49.99 USD on PS4, $39.99 USD on PS Vita), as well as a limited Noble Phantasm Edition available for $20 more on each platform that includes a hardcover art book, poster, collectible cards, and more. In Europe, the collector’s edition is known as the Moon Crux Edition.

Here’s the description for Fate/Extella:

Experience lightning-fast battlefield action across an epic story! In the digital realm of SE.RA.PH, the Holy Grail War is over, but the land’s new ruler faces challenges and threats from all sides. Those Servants who survived the war now find themselves drawing up tense and unlikely alliances, preparing for a conflict that may tear SE.RA.PH apart…or destroy it entirely.

Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star brings together renowned scenario writer Nasu Kinoko, original creator Takashi Takeuchi & character designer Aruko Wada, a TYPE-MOON original music soundtrack, and accompanying Japanese-language voice acting provided by the likes of Sakura Tange, Mamiko Noto, Ayako Kawasumi, Rumi Okubo, Maaya Sakamoto and many, many more. Characters from Fate/stay night, Fate/Apocrypha and Fate/Grand Order appear, each with their own skill set and play style, ready to engage in frantic, powerful combat, deploy breathtaking ‘Noble Phantasm’ attacks, and welcome both newcomers and returning fans.

Will you be getting Fate/Extella next month?
