Ninja Theory’s VR Shooter Dexed Launches on January 31 for PSVR

Developed by Ninja Theory (Hellblade, Heavenly Sword), on-rails virtual reality shooter Dexed is coming to PlayStation VR on January 31 in North America and February 1 in Europe, priced at $9.99 USD. As you can tell from the trailer, it includes PlayStation Move support.

Inspired by games like Panzer Dragoon, Dexed sees you controlling dual blasters of fire and ice, defeating enemies as you travel through the different worlds. “Ice enemies can only be damaged by fire, and vice versa, making this game a true test of your dexterity (see what we did there?),” Ninja Theory adds. “You can also tag multiple enemies to perform skilful combos, which will increase your score multiplier.”

In the endless Arcade Mode, you’re bombarded by enemies in an arena and must survive as long as you can. Your score will then be uploaded to the global and friends leaderboard. If you don’t want as much of a challenge, there’s also Zen Mode, which lets you tour each of the Challenge Mode levels, minus enemies and distractions.

As Exophase shows, there’s 18 Trophies to unlock in Dexed. 17 are Bronze, while the other is Silver, and it asks you to kill the boss on hard without missing any targets.

After Dexed, Ninja Theory’s next game is Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice.
