Injustice 2‘s new gear system has been somewhat of a contentious addition to the game but NetherRealm Studios believes that it’ll work out as intended and won’t exactly put players at a disadvantage like some argue. Today, the developer released a new trailer detailing the system, which you can check out above.
The Gear System “brings a new level of depth to the game, allowing players to evolve their play style and achieve their goals,” said NetherRealm in a press release. “Gear will open up vast possibilities for personalization by enabling combatants of all levels to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters to fit their fighting style.”
Injustice 2 comes out on May 16 in the US and May 19 in the UK for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For more on the game, check out our previous coverage.
