With its launch only a little over a week away (with early access starting on June 16), the launch trailer for the upcoming major expansion for Final Fantasy XIV, Stormblood, has been released.
Here’s an overview of Stormblood’s narrative:
Having brought an end to the thousand-year conflict between dragon and man in the north, the Warrior of Light and his comrades prepare to liberate Ala Mhigo, a land conquered by the Garlean Empire twenty years ago. Meanwhile, in the Far East, the freedom fighters of the fallen nation of Doma struggle to rekindle the fires of hope in their countrymen.
The time has come to embark upon a new adventure to realms near and far─to rise up with the people of Eorzea and the Far East, and cast down the curs of Garlemald!
The expansion introduces new locations, Ala Mhigo and Doma; new jobs, Red Mage and Samurai; the addition of swimming and diving; a level cap increase to 70; changes to the battle system; new primals and beastmen; new dungeons; a new 8-man raid; a new alliance raid; and more.
As previously mentioned, Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood is set for release on June 20, 2017, with early access for those who pre-ordered beginning on June 16, 2017.
